CAT 5 Contracting litigation involving Justin Casequin
A separate litigation trail from 2018–2020, presented here without turning the underlying allegations into findings.
State action
Public docket material identifies Justin Casequin as a defendant in CAT 5 Contracting, Inc. v. Elias Brothers Group Painting & Contracting, Inc., et al., Collier County, Florida, Case No. 2018-CA-2684.
A later federal order described CAT 5's state complaint as alleging that members of the sales team and affiliated businesses solicited CAT 5 customers and tortiously interfered with at least one contract. That description is a summary of CAT 5's allegations—not a judicial finding that Justin Casequin committed the alleged conduct.
Appellate proceeding
Justin Casequin, Able Restoration LLC and other petitioners sought certiorari review in Florida's Second District Court of Appeal, Case No. 2D19-2861. The petition was dismissed on January 31, 2020.
Related federal case
Justin Casequin was also a plaintiff in federal litigation against CAT 5 Contracting and Matthew Spanton in the Middle District of Florida, Case No. 2:18-cv-00588. Public docket materials describe commission, contract and retaliation disputes. That case should not be mischaracterized as a judgment against Justin.
